Starting the AdminServer

The AdminServer provides a command and control interface for the WebSpeed Transaction Server, NameServer, and other components. As described earlier in this chapter, you must start the AdminServer before you can start WebSpeed.

The PROADSV utility provides you with the ability to start up and shut down the AdminServer on UNIX. This command runs locally on the AdminServer machine.

Start the AdminServer by running this command:

proadsv -start
